Linda Richardson is an artist-printmaker who lives and works in rural Essex.
The small village of Little Bardfield is surrounded by farmland and a lot of her work is inspired by her immediate environment, especially the wildlife. A keen gardener and cat lover, plants and cats provide a source for ideas too.
After a two year foundation course at Braintree College of Further Education, 1974-1976, Linda studied printmaking at the Colchester School of Art, 1976-1979.
Here she was taught by Richard Bawden. Her printmaking encompasses both linocuts and etching. As a painter she produces watercolours and acrylics on paper or canvas.
Previously a part time tutor in adult education, Linda now teaches a small painting and drawing class and one day workshops on relief printing.
