Hark ye gentles and commoners all. Be it known across the Manor of Finchingfield that there will be a grand Tudor Feast at 12.45 of the clock for a start of 1.00 on the 18th day of July in this year of our Lord 2015, in the Finchingfield Guildhall. Admission by ticket only (masters and mistresses £10, childer under 12 summers £5 with under 3s, free). Family tickets (2 adults 2 childer under 12 summers £25).
Food will be in the style of Tudor "High Board", and will be served in three removes (courses), with period music and perchance dancing also.
Thou wilt recieve a free welcome drink on arrival, and for those with a goodly thirst, tavern facilities will be on hand, so do bring a coin. We pray that you bring your own plate, spoon and knife (no forks we prithee), and do come in period dress as thou wilt.
Be prepared to learn your Tudor manners and have some ribald fun with masters Diccon and Matthew who will help you to enjoy the day.
